PROJECT "A DAY AT WORK" 2021

For the fourth consecutive year (last year it was done online) and within the "Motivando" initiative, the project "A day at work" has been carried out with 1st year FPB students.

On December 16 and 17, some students from 1st of Basic FP visited different companies and work centers related to IT in Roldán, Torre Pacheco and San Javier within the project "A day at work". They spent the whole day at the company learning and observing the operation of the company. This experience was very rewarding and motivated them.

After the experience, they have been in charge of telling their colleagues everything they did during that day.

PRACTICES WITH FIBER OPTICS

As practices of the Networks module, the 2nd year FPB students have been making pigtails and mechanical splices with fiber optics.

After several attempts, they have finally achieved their goal.

TALK FOR FPB BY FORMER STUDENT SARA ABDESSAMIE

This is the third consecutive year in which this type of activity has been carried out for Basic FP students.
Today, Tuesday, December 14, FPB 1st and 2nd year students have been lucky enough to attend a motivational talk given by a former FPB student from IES Sabina Mora.
Sara Abdessamie - Promotion 2018-2020
This brilliant student has told us about her experience through Sabina Mora and that, at present, she is studying the second year of the Middle Grade cycle of "Microcomputer Systems and Networks", after passing the first year with excellent grades.
This student is an example to follow and serves as a reference for the few students who decide to study Computer Science.
FPB students enjoyed the talk and posed multiple questions to the guest. The talk has been very interesting and motivating for everyone.
As a thank you, she has been given a diploma and some gifts from IES Sabina Mora.

MURALS ABOUT "WOMEN IN THE COMPUTER"

Within the Motivating initiative, 1st year FPB students have made some murals on "Women in Computer Science". To guide with a gender perspective, it is important that the students have female references and that the students know the work that these women did.

Each student has chosen a woman who has had a relevant role in the history of Informatics or has contributed a discovery that has changed our lives.

The murals are displayed in the hallway on the ground floor, next to classroom 0.2.

They have made the activity with his teacher Mª Carmen.
